As a general rule of thumb, you should begin teaching child/children about firearms when they first show awareness or interest in them. This might mean your child notices your cleaning or handling your firearm or hears someone talking about going to shoot at the range. Even to include observing and mimicking others handling a firearm, to which they may view as a toy.  This will most likely happen between 3 and 7 years of age.

Our program will begin at age seven (7). Our children's program primary focus is SAFETY and AWARENESS.  Details of our program's requirements and expectations will be found on the Children's Program page once finalized.

We understand that everyone is NOT created equal in the world of firearms.

With SAFETY being our priority and in an effort to re-assure your safety, new persons comfortability and establish proper handling with each individual PRIOR to going to the range for LIVE FIRE we have incorporated the UCCA Yellow Training Pistol, SIRT Pistols as well as a Recoil Enabled Training Pistol.

  • USCCA Yellow Training Pistol An inert, solid-mold training pistol used solely for reinforcing safe handling, grip, draw, sight alignment, and trigger finger discipline. It has NO working parts and it’s an outstanding tool for dry practice at home use.
  • SIRT Pistols (Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger): These are inert replicas with a laser integrated, allowing for trigger control training without needing to reset the slide between shots.
  • Recoil Enabled Training Pistol- powered by green gas  this training pistol offers a more realistic training. This will allow first time shooters to become even more familiar with ergonomics, take down, slide, drop free magazine, more importantly the blowback action which simulates recoil  and offers enhanced grip texture.
